CBI reiterates musician Balabhaskar’s death is just a traffic accident
Thiruvananthapuram, September 30 (IANS): The CBI, which investigated the death of popular young musician Balabhaskar in a road accident in 2018, reiterated on Thursday that it was an accidental death and that there was no evidence to the contrary.
The CBI made the claim in a local court here as Balabhaskar’s parents wanted the court to overturn the CBI report, sticking to their position that there was some sort of conspiracy behind the traffic accident. of their son.
Balabhaskar, 40, was traveling with his wife and two-year-old daughter from Thrissur to the state capital in early September 25, 2018, when their car crashed on the outskirts of the city.
While the girl died instantly, an injured Balabhaskar died on October 2. His wife and driver came out injured.
Shortly after the crash, the question of who was driving the car when she encountered the crash arose, when some reports indicated that the driver was behind the wheel and others that Balabhaskar was driving.
In December 2019, his father approached Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan, asking for his help with a CBI investigation. The government then called for a CBI investigation, and after 22 months of Balabhaskar’s death, the CBI took the matter into its own hands, examined it in detail, and then submitted its report that it was accidental death.
The singer’s parents remained dissatisfied and approached the court, asking for the report to be quashed.
