Recall of “The Spice Hunter” products due to possible salmonella contamination
All spices produced on the two days the parsley was used are recalled “out of caution against potential cross contamination”.
No cases of illness have been reported, according to an announcement with the United States Food and Drug Administration.
The spices have been distributed on spicehunter.com and in Pennsylvania as well as in Alaska, Alabama, Arizona, California, Colorado, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maryland, Michigan, Missouri, Carolina North, New Jersey, New Mexico, Nevada, New York, Ohio, Oklahoma, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Virginia, Washington and Wisconsin.
The recalled products are packaged in clear glass jars with lot codes 20217C, 20220C, 20269C and 20270C on the white field of the label.
