“Santhoshathinte Onnam Rahasyam” Wins State Film Award for Best Synchronization Sound


“Santhoshathinte Onnam Rahasyam” directed by Don Palathara and starring Rima Kallingal and Jitin Puthenchery won an award for its Sync Sound at the 51st Kerala State Film Awards.

Sound Designer / Field Recordist Adarsh ​​Joseph Palamattam won the award for Best Synchronization Sound for the film that hit OTT platforms in July 2021.

Director Don Palathara and producer Shijo George raved about this talented young sound designer for bringing the project to fruition amid COVID restrictions without compromising on quality.

“This is my second time working with Adarsh. When I first spoke to him about the concept of one shot and the restrictions he would face as a sound recordist, Adarsh ​​was very confident. that he would be able to do it. easily. And he agreed. We worked with a very small team and Adarsh ​​did not have any assistants for this film, “said Palathara.

“Santhoshathinte Onnam Rahasyam” premiered in February 2021 at the Kerala International Film Festival and received acclaim at the Moscow International Film Festival.

The film produced by Shijo K George has Rima Kallingal, Jithin Puthanchery and Neeraja Rajendran in the lead roles. He has received critical acclaim for his technical genius.

The 85-minute one-shot film is set against the backdrop of the Covid-19 pandemic. The film takes us through the life of the couple Maria and Jitin and on a road trip they take together.
