Team HEALTH + Nine Inch Nails on Dark New Song ‘Is Not Everyone’

Want a dark, brooding, and slightly sinister sound? We’ve got the pairing for you as experimental rock band HEALTH has teamed up with Nine Inch Nails on the new song “Isn’t Everyone” which certainly sums up that slightly baffling darkness in which both bands thrive.

Both acts serve as co-producers on the song, with Atticus Ross of Nine Inch Nails mixing the track. Being brutal enough with a quote to sell the song, HEALTH said, “It’s fucking Nine Inch Nails. It speaks for itself. You don’t need a smart quote to encapsulate it. “The track appears as part of HEALTH’S DISCO4 :: Part 2.

The song marks the first new offering from HEALTH since their 2020 album DISCO4 :: Part 1, which has collected all of their collaborations since 2017. Likewise, this is the first we’ve heard from Nine Inch Nails in quite some time, given that Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross won an Oscar for their scoring work on the disney movie Soul.

Nine Inch Nails last posted a pair of Ghosts albums last year, following the last vocal release Bad witch in 2018. Following the Oscar win last month, Reznor said he and Ross would return to Nine Inch Nails “probably tomorrow” following their string of recent hit movie music projects.
